Enjoying the Beauty of Lack−It’s not a place where everything is perfectly prepared. There may be
inconveniences—but that’s exactly what brings unexpected discoveries and sparks creativity. To us, that is the
ultimate form of luxury. A Moment to Pause−Lively gatherings have their charm, but sometimes, choosing to pause
brings something different. Listen closely—you’ll hear the chirping of insects. Look up—and the stars unfold
above you. When your senses sharpen you begin to notice the subtle voices the world is always whispering.
Imagination for Living with Nature
DAICHI’s retreats, scattered across Japan, offer open spaces where inside and outside flow seamlessly
together. Each of our retreats is a standalone dwelling nestled by vast oceans, majestic mountains, or deep
forests — inviting you to surrender yourself to the gentle threshold between nature and architecture.
At DAICHI, we offer a new way of living in harmony with nature—through three core services. From monthly shared
ownership and original villa design & operation support, to investment opportunities in nature-based
properties. We provide new possibilities for living with the land.
DAICHI is a company that plans, develops, and operates accommodations, commercial facilities, spas, saunas, and
more in rich natural environments, while also engaging in PR and regional branding for tourism destinations. We
propose a form of active luxury rooted in meaningful experiences. Our expert team—comprising architects,
landscape designers, project managers, and creative directors—works to unlock the full potential of each site,
creating one-of-a-kind experiences that can only be found in that particular place.
Born and raised in the mountains of Hiroshima, Tanijiri spent his childhood fishing and exploring the
wilderness. Nature taught him far more than any textbook could—it was his gateway to understanding the
world through all five senses. This formative experience became the foundation of his architectural
philosophy: to explore how we relate to a place, and how we coexist with nature. In 2000, he founded the
architectural design firm SUPPOSE DESIGN OFFICE, and has since led numerous projects both in Japan and
abroad, with studios in Hiroshima and Tokyo. For him, architecture is not merely about creating functional
spaces, but about shaping ways of living. Guided by this belief, he launched “Daichi”, a project rooted in
nature, and continues to expand its vision through Daichi lab, an initiative that gives form to this
philosophy through architecture.
Born in 1983. Representative of DAISHIZEN, which operates SOLSO and SOLSO FARM for landscape and indoor
green design. He has been involved in many collaborations with high-profile commercial facilities and
architects. In 2018, he celebrated the 20th anniversary of his career and started a new career as a
landscape architect and farmer, expanding his activities.
Mietell helps people see the true value of land and architecture. By combining AI technology with
photorealistic 3D imagery, it visualizes what a place will look like even before it’s built. Through this
platform, buyers can explore properties with their own eyes and make choices with confidence. Led by
architect Makoto Tanijiri, Mietell delivers beautiful, realistic visualizations that express a property’s
full potential — introducing a new, transparent way to experience real estate in Japan.
We design by attuning ourselves to the voices of wind, soil, water, and light—responding to the land
itself.Rather than treating nature as a backdrop, we engage it as a dialogue partner, creating spaces
where architecture and environment resonate together.
We carefully shape the spaces designed by DAICHI LAB, listening closely to the voices of the land,
climate, and materials. With deep respect for their vision, we pursue a way of building that resonates with
nature.
