Originally, silent river is a place that embodies the value of “inconvenience.” Here, deliberate shortcomings are designed into the space. While seemingly unfriendly, these elements also serve as devices to awaken human senses. Kindling fire, boiling water, listening intently to sounds—within these primal acts reside the physicality and imagination lost amid convenience. “TREE SAUNA” is architecture standing precisely in that “in-between.” A small space suspended between the trees, built without cutting down the forest. It becomes a bed, a sauna, or simply a place to feel nature. An architecture like air, unfixed in purpose, where inside and outside dissolve into one another. Rather than being built within nature, this way of being—gently placing itself in the “space between” nature—quietly poses the question: should architecture exist not only for people, but alongside the environment? When you place yourself in such a place, the boundary between yourself and the forest quietly dissolves, as if you have become part of the forest.
